In Nigeria we partnered with HSDF with a dual purpose of knowledge sharing of SPARK/HSDF models in order to spark and incubate new approaches to solving PMTCT problems. State level advisors represented 8 states and MoH officials were from the national level.

From our interactions with HSDF, state advisors developed EID implementation plans reflecting a systematic approach to solving state specific challenges through value stream mapping for problem identification. Following technical assistance on data use for decision making, HSDF Federal level managers reported a deliberate use of data by state advisors  in implementation plan development.

Having the Malawi MoH champion also enhanced the learning experience as they were onboarded to our approach and were able to share best practices on tackling EID issues.
