Fairoze Daniels, Administrator
Fairoze Diedricks is an experienced Human Rights activist with over 10 years experience working in the NGO sector. She is driven by a passion for the rights of marginalised populations, and views her work at Spark Health Africa as an extension of this activism.
Fairoze Diedericks joined Spark Health Africa in March of 2017. She adds value by supporting the team with logistical management across the different country programmes, and liaises with various stakeholders. She also assists with populating and reconciling monthly financials statements.
Fairoze is driven by a conviction that marginalised communities have a right to dignified quality healthcare. As a human rights activist her specific areas of interest are people living with HIV and marginalised communities such as women of colour and sex workers. Within these communities she has directed her efforts at reducing the stigma & discrimination directed towards these communities that negatively impact their lives. Further to this she is also a seasoned facilitator, and has extensive experience in community research & training on human rights. She is able to work with a range of diverse people and engage in platforms from community dialogues to media engagements.
Prior to joining Spark Health Africa, she worked at AIDS Legal Network for six years in the capacity of administrator & Personal Assistant to the Director. In this role she managed the day-to-day running of the office, coordinated all the organisational logistics, planned workshop, and managed the Director’s diary. She also facilitated human rights workshops, conducted field research, and assisted with data entry.
Fairoze holds a certificate in bookkeeping from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Fairoze is currently pursuing a short course in accounting at UCT and dedicated in horning her skills in Financial & project management.
